How do I approach men in such a way that they see me only as a friend?

I’m a mildly attractive, friendly, outgoing people person who tends to have small crowds around me and lots of guys hitting on me and wanting more than friendship, because of my vibrant personality and adventurous spirit. How do I stop men from deciding they want more than friendship? It’s starting to annoy me and I’ve had some attention of the unflattering kind from strange men.
