Why does he ghost and act so selfish when we link up if we have such a long history?

I’ve been sleeping with this person for over a decade. It’s normally always a good time. We are both in other relationships so it’s no strings attached but we are fiends. The last three times he’s made it only about him - now I’ve made it clear I love to please and I prioritize his needs which is mainly oral but I still need to finish at some point at least once- I don’t ask for oral or anything just ask him to let me touch myself while we are having sex him on top I think that’s fair. The last three times he’s said he thought it was all about him despite me making it very clear that I have that one need. He only lasts less than 10 seconds when he’s on top recently though saying he can’t hold back. But never makes an attempt to do anything else to me. On top of that - this last time We made plans to meet and he asked me to get a room so I did but - we met really quickly before - I even said this is like an app and later is the entree. When I mentioned I am looking forward to later he acted confused like he never asked me to get it but I had the text message that said other wise. It was a huge red flag. I got to the room. I waited hours he never showed. He said he felt bad but now when I message him anything sexy or playful he ghosts that message. Multiple times In a row. With the room, the lube, the plan b, parking and travel I spent over 1000$ and he didn’t even show up. What’s going on and why is he behaving like this

Edit: he did give a reason for not showing, Which in and of itself was a valid reason- but it’s one he’s given before and it seemed more of something he goes to to get out of things. Also I had to message him for hours asking what’s going on before he even answered saying he wasn’t coming
