My guy friend wants me to cuddle him after he had tough day at work.
Why do guys ask for cuddle to female friends that not in a relationship?

I used to have guy friends like that- they liked to cuddle but there was NO sex or anything else involved (yes that's possible, believe it or not guys). They just wanted to be held or have a female to spend time with. Why?

Lonely, attention, or they just wanted to cuddle and didn't have anyone else. They didn't have girlfriends at the time, and my sad ass didn't have a boyfriend so I didn't mind, so it was a win/win for us both. Just having someone we trust and know give us attention without any obligation or hidden agenda behind it.

Think "friends with benefits" sans the sex and making out- I think that's the best way to describe said relationship. Just a very close platonic relationship, but there's no romantic interest there.

Now is that necessarily the case all the time? No. We all know what cuddling can lead to or means in most cases: they like you. I'm just saying there are cases were yes, guys want to cuddle without it meaning they want a relationship or like you in a romantic way.

To answer your question, have you asked him if he likes you outside of a friendship? Seriously, just ask and see what he says. If he just likes you as a friend and nothing more, that's basically why.
