Guys, he's getting me NOTHING for Valentines Day?

I have been talking to this guy for 4 months and January 1st this year he asked me to officially be his girlfriend. We are LDR but he travels to see me. He is a sweetheart however for new years I put effort into a small gift for him and he didn't get me anything. I wasn't doing it to get something back of course but hurt my feelings he didn't even say happy holidays.

If he does not get me anything for Valentine's Day, not even flowers or card, etc- I'm worried it might really turn me off. Not the money wise but the effort wise of him doing something nice for me. How should I react if I get nothing on Valentine's Day, when I got him something? Is this something to breakup with him over?

You could casually mention friends and family who get cards (hint, hint), but if it is really long-distance, his actions in terms of making the time and money for his trips speak volumes, and you should cherish and appreciate that

You are very right, I always make sure to say thank you for the effort of him coming to see me and paying for the restaurant (we only seen each other in person 3 times). Just feel sad at the thought of not even getting some flowers even though he says he loves me all the time.

I was thinking something like a written card or flowers at least, even the paper flowers you can look on YouTube to make. Not anything extremely expensive.

Valentines is a hallmark holiday. It's become one anyway. You're not REQUIRED to get anything.
