How do I initiate a conversation with a guy who doesn’t speak the same language?

In China men are really shy most of the times, I have a very handsome coworker, he works in the different department and we only meet on lunch breaks twice a week.

I’ve not liked a guy for a long time, but I really like him. His voice, his appearance - he is just my type exactly.

But he doesn’t speak English I think and/or he is very shy.

I am always the one who gets asked out so I have never really asked a guy out. Could you tell me any other ways to initiate contact with him other than occasional smiles and hellos that we swap?

How can you know if he's perfect without even being able to talk to him? Half of perfect is common interests, views, hobbies, etc.

Yep, I was thinking to ask his contact to my Chinese female coworkers but as a foreigner I already get lots of attention and all my steps are watched with bug interest, and I am sure I am already thought to be promiscuous, as all foreigners are stereotyped here.

I don’t want them to get the idea, I ask guys everyday or something.

They are very cute and curious about foreigners. Here just being you even causes questions. Like today I was approached by my coworkers from another department cause they wanted to know what kind of workout I do for having the body like this. I am not sure they believed when I told them I got it naturally.

Or they ask what kind of coffee I drink, or what kind of hair shampoo I use. They are curious about everything. I am sure it will be a topic of the week if I ask them that guy’s contact.
