like this guy I briefly dated decided we should just be friends but whenever I try to have a conversation about anything else that always leaves back to sex. Or he gets defensive and backs out of stuff like saying, I don’t care.

Guys are NOT looking for female "friends" - they are looking to smash, or in some cases, looking for a relationship. Friends is not an option. The sooner you understand and accept this, the easier your relationships with men will be.

I just dont see why people want to still “make” new friends after high school/college years. I understand remaining friends with people from the school years. But after school, i doubt many people are interested in friendship. Its usually hooking up or dating
