Yea, it's his job to take care of a wife and children. Even if she is able to do it herself, the responsibility ultimately falls on him. I think most men would not feel very manly if they were not able to take care of their loved ones. It's the way it is.

Yes, it's our love language. We show our love by taking care of and doing things for the woman we love. One of the biggest mistakes women make in relationships these days is not letting their man feel needed because they want to be a "strong and independent woman" who can do everything themselves, so they don't let their man do anything for them. A good man who doesn't feel needed won't stick around long.

Twenty years ago I’d say yes. But nowadays w the way things are going, extreme feminism shaming men for basically everything we do, it’s hard to say. I say this because I’ve heard of a lot of men nowadays refusing to protect women, watching women get raped, mugged, etc, never lifting a finger. So part of me thinks now that it was something that was instilled in us growing up, I guess you could say a societal construct.

I think, it is a natural/instinctual thing for guys to want to take care of the girl they love, just like it is natural for women too.
