Exactly the same way you would feel, if YOU laughed and the guy ignored it.
I don't know how I would feel cause it never happens to me, that's why I am asking.
I didn't do that on purpose though
Well if it's a situation where the thing he was laughing at was something he said/did that he hoped you would find funny that's the worst this situation can be. But it's the same thing (but not nearly as bad) if we're talking about something you both saw/heard that he found funny while you didn't laugh.
He'd basically feel emberassment. To some degree. But he feels like you think he's an idiot for laughing (or telling the joke too, if that's the situation). He feels like you think less of him for finding it funny or for thinking he said something funny that wasn't.
So... overall... a guy feels pretty shitty about it.
But a guy wouldn't be hurt unless they like you?
Well basically yea. He'll be embarrassed either way. But way more if he likes you. It's the difference between doing something embarrassing in front of some girl; or doing something embarrassing in front of your crush. So obviously it's way worse doing something embarrassing in front of your crush. So the feelings are the same (embarrassed/hurt) it's just way worse if he likes you.
Now if you feel bad and didn't do it on purpose. Ok. You can "fix" it easily enough. He feels like you think he's an idiot or not as funny as he thinks he is etc. He feels dumb. Like he looks like an idiot TO YOU.
So all you have to do is show him it's no big deal by... just basically acting normal to him. So, go talk to him. Be just... normal around him. Show him by your actions going forward, that you not laughing at that moment... means nothing when it comes to what you think of him. It's not a huge deal if it didn't actually change your opinion of him. Show him that it didn't.
