Why does my boyfriend not like the idea of other guys hitting on me?

So my boyfriend of a year keeps making a few comments about how he doesn’t want other guys to look at me or flirt with me. So he said he wouldn’t want me to go to a bar without him because other guys would hit on me or try to take me home and that other guys only have one thing on their mind who go to bars. He also makes comments about the clothes I wear. If I’m going on a night out and wear a low cut dress, he will make a comment and say my dress has a low neckline and I’m showing cleavage and said “you’re gonna get guys coming up to you and hitting on you if you wear that”. One time we were getting ready to go out and I was wearing a low cut top and he said “I don’t want other guys looking at your boobs they are for only me to see”

Why does he keep making these comments?
