He will still say Hii to me in the hallway and say very few words now but used to talk to me all the time in the past. Sometimes I will wave at him but he will give me a little smile and nod and walk away. Does anyone know if he likes me or is shy?

He cares A LOT about what you, in particular, think about him. So much in fact, the he suddenly can't just relax. He's second guessing everything he says and does around you... in a way that inevitably doesn't allow him to "come off at his best."
It a cruel joke the universe likes to play on everyone. Usually, when you've got a crush on someone you have trouble just being yourself in the same way you'd be with anyone else. You see yourself doing it. You just can't help it. It's pretty universal.
So he's not shy. He's just shy WITH YOU. Because he likes you. That's certainly what this sounds like anyway.

However, him not saying a lot to you and acting different with you - if he really is and you're not just perceiving that because you like him - often times is a sign of a person liking you, yeah. I'm the opposite though, I always like talking to the chicks I'm into and don't hide it. But other people do get nervous around their crushes, yeah.
