Why would guys follow me and then unfollow me?

My account is private. I don't post much often and rarely post picture of myself. I just share memes. I don't get it what's point of following and then unfollowing. I would understand it if it was by some teen who wants follower. But it's from mature adults with same profession as mine. . I find this behaviour really immature and annoying.

Are you sure it's not that they clicked on your profile to see your picture and they accidentally followed you and tried to take it back before it notifies you, which they failed lol

There are a bunch of possible reasons...

They could unfollow you after seeing that you don't post pictures. They don't find your memes funny. They could have accidentally followed you. They I followed because you didn't follow back.
