Why does he have a crush on me if I'm not his type at all?

There is a guy in college I spoke with once who always keeps looking at me and bumping into me in the most random places. Oftentimes I catch his friends glance at me too when they think I'm not noticing.

I recently found him on instagram and almost all of the girls he follows are stick thin blondes which is the complete opposite of me (I have dark hair and am curvy). Why is he interested in me if I'm not his type at all? He doesn't know my personality either.

Cuz he finds you attractive as well just because you don’t look like the other girls he follows doesn’t mean he doesn’t find you attractive , I am attracted to blondes with nice tits as well but it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be attracted to a brunette with nice tits or a girl that has curves as well , So don’t compare yourself to those other girls , if he is clearly checking you out he clearly has the hots for you , and I guarantee he already visualized about you being in bed with him , That’s how most of us guys are , So there is definitely something about you that he is attracted to , I wouldn’t be checking out a girl that I wasn’t attracted to , so if you like him back go for it , What most girl’s don’t realize about most guys is we don’t compare girls like a girl does to a guy , When we see a beautiful girl that catches our eyes we become fixated on her and we tend to become blind to other girls , especially if the girl has a caring heart and great personality , and treats us with love and respect and stays faithful to us , we won’t be interested in another girl , yes we have eyes and we do look but we aren’t going to jeopardize our relationship with a great girl for another girl period , the only time we become interested in another girl , is if the girl we are with, starts treating us like total shit and makes us feel unvalued and unwanted , when she withholds intimacy and affection from us , we start to feel like she is losing interest In us which can lead to us being more acceptive to another girl , but when we give our heart to a girl we cherish her over any other girl , What girls don’t realize is we tend to hurt more if a girl we give our heart to ends up leaving us or cheating on us , why I tell girls all the time make your man feel valued and wanted and respected , don’t deny him intimacy and affection , that’s how most of us guys show our love and respect to a girl , when she starts putting those walls up and making him feel like he isn’t good enough for her that’s when he starts losing interest , and more than likely he will be more accepting to another Girl that wants to make him feel valued and wanted , When a girl prioritizes her man and wears his shoes before making decisions she will have nothing to worry about , it’s a very slim chance that he would cheat on her , Most girl’s today are selfish and they wonder why most guys don’t want to be in a relationship with them , it’s mainly because girl’s today don’t take commitment seriously , they want their cake and eat it to basically , don’t get me wrong guys can be assholes as well, but most guys period want a girl that values and respects him , we have Big Ego’s and when a girl is attracted to our masculine energy and makes us feel valued and wanted and loved she more than likely is going to have a guy that stands by her side , it honestly isn’t hard to please most of us guys , When a girl removes selfishness for me I sure as hell remove selfishness for her.

He finds you attractive. You don't know if those are the types of women he knew as friends especially if they follow him back. I went to college in The States and most of the women and men I was friends with on Facebook were from a different ethnicity/race. Im black and they were white. I was friends with mostly white women and men because I went to a PWI. Are they supermodels, celebs, actresses or are they normal civilians? If they are supermodels etc then I would be concerned because that might be his type essentially. You mentioned he doesn't know your personality so I assume he doesn't know yours either. I would say not to jump on the bandwagon as if he wants to date you or he likes you for sure. He may find you beautiful and may have talked about you to his friends. He may have said, "Bro she is so pretty". A guy can find you attractive and not want to date you or don't have a romantic interest in you. One of the biggest misconceptions people think is that if their crush's friends look at them it means that he is in love. While that may be true in some cases, it's not always true. Try to get to know him more.

Most of the female celebrities he follows are skinny blondes and the non celebrities he follows don't know him. They are just random girls in his area that he probably saw on tinder or bumble.

I feel like he tried to approach me a few times and his friend once sat next to me in class before he arrived so I think he at least considered asking me out

I see. Then yes, his type may be the skinny blondes. Try talking to him sometimes. If you guys take a class together a simple "Hey do you understand the lecture" and if he responds positively then take it from there. Is he a shy guy? I would also suggest trying to exchange numbers. Even if it's for notes or something. Do you know any of the girls she liked or dated in the past? That would be important to know too. You never know for sure what he likes if you don't speak to him and figure it out.

I think he is generally confident except around girls and he has no rizz despite being attractive. I know 3 girls he liked but I don't think they liked him back. All of them were super skinny, two blondes and one brunette

Trust me when I say, types are never set and stone. I have had this experience too, guys who like almost exclusively white blonde females when I am not that, but gave me the same attention they did to them, if not more. I think it all boils down to the type of man they are.
If you are very attractive, it doesn’t really matter as men are men and attractive is attractive. Then, there’s a man who likes you just to sleep with you and is curious about trying something different. These types are pretty easy to distinguish just by their commentary of you so I’d stay away if he says anything pertaining to “I’ve always wanted to try a..” or “I’ve never been with a..”

I’d never go off of Instagram for a vision of anyone’s type. I’d be more worried about the promiscuity of the woman he follows. While I have a type myself, I do have an interest in a guy personally who is the complete opposite of my type physically and who I’d not go after on most guys, but I like him more than most guys, lol. It’s also a matter of what’s around. If a man is only around blonde skinny women, then he’s most likely going to be used to that type of woman. If these are normal profiles, they could be his friends. If they are Instagram model types, run.
