I have strong feelings for a guy friend of mine... he also happens to have ADHD, so I was wondering if I should start being extra sweet by sending him good morning texts, or what is the best way to go about letting him know that he is on my mind without being too overwhelming on him?

What Guys Said
If you have strong feelings for this guy and want to let him know that he's on your mind without being too overwhelming, sending him a daily good morning text can be a nice gesture. However, it's important to be mindful of his boundaries and communication preferences.
Since he has ADHD, it's possible that he may find frequent communication overwhelming or distracting. It might be a good idea to have a conversation with him about how he prefers to communicate and how often he likes to stay in touch. This can help you better understand his needs and find a balance that works for both of you.
In addition to sending good morning texts, you can also try to show your feelings through other actions, such as planning fun activities together or being supportive of his interests and hobbies. Ultimately, it's important to communicate openly and honestly with him and to respect his boundaries and needs.
Thank you for your response. Whenever he texts me first he always ends up telling me that I can text him whenever I want because he would like that. I try not to think too much into that and instead think of it as him just being a really nice guy friend. But I do have strong feelings for him and I have a lot of respect for him.
It's great that you have a lot of respect for your friend and that you're being mindful of his feelings and boundaries.
If he has explicitly told you that you can text him whenever you want, that could be a good sign that he's open to more frequent communication. However, it's still important to pay attention to his responses and engage in active listening to make sure that you're not overwhelming him with too much communication.
If you're not sure how he feels about you romantically, it may be helpful to have an open and honest conversation with him about your feelings and intentions. This can give you both a chance to express your thoughts and feelings in a clear and respectful way, while also allowing you to better understand where he stands.
At the end of the day, the most important thing is to communicate with each other openly and honestly and to respect each other's feelings and boundaries. Good luck!
People with ADHD are not all the same so I can only answer this from my perspective. But if there's someone I like and I'm excited to talk to, I definitely appreciate that gesture!
Thank you for your response. So when he tells me to text him whenever because he would like it, does that mean he likes me or is he just being a nice guy friend?
I think it's a good indicator that he has an interest for you. But it would be hard to know without knowing how you two have been talking. I can say that someone is welcome to reach out to me whenever they want, without me having any romantic interest in them.
Well a few months ago he told me that he would never show someone a picture of me because just looking at my face is enough to make a guy want to talk to me and he doesn't want other guys talking to me. He has shared secrets about himself with me and how some things make him feel. Sometimes he openly asks me to just hold him when we hang out.
He sounds very possessive with that, or maybe it was said in a joking way and he thought it would be funny.
If he wants that physical touch and and he's open with things I guess it's a good indicator. Also you could straight up ask him, since he share his feelings with you.
It won't matter to him one way or the other.
Why do you say that?
Because he won't care.
