I think my guy friend likes me but he is hot and cold with me?

Me and my friends met through another mutual friend, they are all from the same hometown and i kinda went along with them (we have been hanging out for almost 2 years). Since last year i had a small feeling that one of them he may like me, but now i can't shake it off my head. I also think throught the year i started having a crush on him too. But now we went on a two day trip all together and there he was all touch-feely, we were close to eachother all the time, he even attempted to massage me. In general we are very similar, he always shows me how much he likes me as a person and our energies totally match.
But after that vacation its been 3 weeks and he kinda ignores me. He is not texting me, when i text him he answers me a lot later. And sometimes he ignores me on our group chat. But on the other hand last week i invited them in my house and on a text conversation we had (which i initiated) he told me he is really excited to hang out in my place. Also in a conversation we had in our group chat today he invited me to join him at his place of work. Why is he so hot n cold with me right now?

So this weeknd i invited him to hang out alone (cause all of our friends were out of town), i texted him on Saturday if he wanted to do something on Sunday together. He was really excited and agreed, but because he might be late at work he would contact me on Sunday and see how things turned out. On Sunday he never reached out to me to tell me whether he would be free or not.

I talked to his sister later that afternoon and asked her were he was, she told me he was really pissed off because he finished late with work and had to do a favor for a colleague. I am really mad at him that he never reached out, he told me that he would text me so i didn't want to bother him.
