Why does he address me that way?

Ok, so there's this guy, we've been talking a lot lately but haven't met each other still planning to, but he started calling me chipmunk all of a sudden and says it's cute when I asked why he'll be addressing me as a rodent; why chipmunk?

I mean, I'm not even sure if he likes me yet so I can't just jump to any conclusions.

As a guy that’s kinda hates rodents I do have a sweet spot for chipmunks! They are so cute in real life that they look unreal. He’s definitely thinking of how cute you are or maybe even sound high pitch like a chipmunk. I don’t think any other rodent would sound great. Like “babe you’re a guinea pig”, “heyyy sweet naked mole rat”, “ sup Beaver?” , “Beaves”

Chipmunks are cute and rodents are a respectable class of mammals rather similar to primates.

On the other hand, do not let him call you anything you are not comfortable with. I always use the woman's name and that tends to be the best choice. Many women have beautiful names, too.
