yes and no. a guy that likes you and wants you won't run away, the guy that is insecure and has issues might be overwhelmed and felt like needing space. When you are in relationship you should give your all but when you just date and are getting to know someone best is to give energy how much is someone else is giving you, or around it. Eg. if both people r shy someone needs to give a little more but its not good to give too much, there are exceptions tho

another eg. when you are gettingto know people that you want to be friends with you dont immidiatelly say you are my best ideal friend, you first get to know them and then friendship naturally develops

No I think a guy that turns cold does so because he´s overwhelmed by the situation and doesn´t know how to handle the situation. Guys prefer to make a move when they are ready so it could be that she makes a move and suprises him and he turns cold because he´s not ready yet or not interested.
I don´t think he turns cold because he takes her love for granted.
