I will also add that it usually says something negative about a woman when she becomes a single mother as a younger woman. Most scenarios that lead a young woman to that situation are a poor reflection on her as a woman and a person. Many/most of today's women don't take seriously the responsibilities that go along with sex for a woman, and that's why so many become single moms. They have casual sex with men who they are not confident will stick around an be good fathers to their children should they become pregnant. And many women don't see a father as important in a child's life, and that factors into their decision to have casual sex, or have sex with the wrong men for the wrong reasons.

Personally I have no interest in a woman who does those things, and certainly would want to be in a relationship with one and help raise some other man's child.

The only real exception is a woman whse husband died. That can happen to very good women.

Dating a single mom means the dad of the child is still around and most men don't like men being or try being in their family.

It just brings a lot of potential drama and danger.

For the same reason women don't want to date a homeless guy.

Both genders have certain gender roles. A single mom has already proven her INABILITY (either by incompetence or by sheer choice) to follow her gender role. It's really just that simple. If a guy does not follow his gender expectations he's considered bad stock as well.
