I have friends that are single parents and they still being chased and getting attention from guys!
I don’t have kids and I look amazing but my personality doesn’t really attract to many guys because I am shy, it takes me a while longer to open up. So my friends with kids end up getting all that attention because they are more confident in general (I’m just a shy person and I don’t like to waist my time entertaining strangers) so yea. Being a parent will not stop you from shining if you care about your self, present yourself the right way...
if you are single and a parent don’t be hopeless, get yourself together. Be the best version of yourself, own it and go get attention!!

There's a perception that single parents carry too much complicated baggage.

But no one stops to look at themselves and think about all the ex relationship shit they're carrying around that they have just buried.

I am just going by what guys have told me. Personally... when I started dating again... at 46. I did not want to get serious with a guy who didn't have children because I wanted a man who could understand the relationship with my kids. But I didn't want to raise anymore either.

Technically yes. But once you marry their mother, you will have to play the part. That is one responsibility/commitment a lot of people are not willing to make.

i think there are a few things
- some people don't want to take on the responsibility of someone else's child
- some presume that there is too much baggage
- some presume that the person must have someone wrong with them if they aren't with the father or mother of their child

i personally dated a few single moms (2). it didn't work out but not because they had a child

It's a tough one. I think it all depends on the relationship between the woman and the child's father. I'm not getting into any disputes or anything like that. Secondly, the child. If it's an unruly kid who gives a lot of trouble, I'm not dating the mom.

That's not why. Most people don't want to take care of your dumb kid from some other guy that may or may not be in the picture. It's a headache. And usually the guy isn't that great because you know how women are.
Add in the fact that instead of focusing on a 1 on 1 relationship to strengthen it, you have someone else you both have to cater to.
Start fresh with one that doesn't have that.

I only feel sorry for widows or those rare circumstances like that woman that got her face burned off due to her husband's negligence and he left her (presumably) because of it. The majority I don't care about.

Widows are way more likely to be able to get a quality dude because it's less likely she's in her situation due to reasons within her control. Still, becoming a stepdad is not ideal. Lots of stories of moms who raised the kid to think of their new dad as a second class citizen but they happily take his money.

As a father i would say having kids is the best thing in my life. But it’s also pretty consuming. I think single people without kids who don’t want to casually jump into that are right. It’s a massive lifestyle change.

personally i don't want to get involved in a kid life unless i'm certain i'll be hanging around for good.

so if i'm after some casual fun, and you have a kid, i'm gonna skip you for everyones sake.

I for myself see it as a responsibility to be in someone's life
And when you're woman has a child in her life that makes you attached to that child as well
So some men may just find that too much commitment to something new and unknown to them
