For a number of reasons. Maybe he never really cared about her. Maybe he did to a point, maybe he only cared about her sexually. Maybe he was hitting up some other bush then got what he wanted or didn’t get what he wanted so he came back. A lot of us men tend to do this because you women let us come back. Instead of saying no, we’re done, you left me w no explanation, you let us come back. Even if he cheated on her you still let them come back. Well the harsh reality is that ghosting is number one cowardly and people don’t ghost someone they truly care about at least not people who aren’t toxic.

Now I know some people take it to the other extreme that if someone does not respond in five minutes and blows someone up all the time but I assume that’s not your situation.

People ghost because they’re childish and because they want supply when you’re giving that to them they tend to drop off because they’re probably getting it from so many sources. This gives them a sense of validation. Then…. You haven’t been talking to them so they come back. So they can keep getting supply it’s called narcissistic supply. The sad part is they keep people attached thinking they genuinely want something when they don’t.

Another possible reason is that they thought they could find someone else but left you on the back burner in case all else fails they have someone to fall back on. It’s a really shitty thing to do but when all else fails they come crawling back.

When someone legitimately ghosts you without any good reason don’t expect a exclamation because they don’t feel like they have to give you one however they do feel entitled to your time and energy when they need it. It’s very one sided with these people. But if they get what they want they keep coming back.

The last option is that yeah they regret it. Maybe they got turned off by something only to realize what they lost once they lost it. Once they see you’re starting to move on they appear again but that’s also the narcissists a lot of time just wanting supply.

People do it too. To make you question yourself. Why were things going fine and how all the sudden? Make you feel shitty as well as feed them more attention until you don’t anymore and somehow they’re back again.

People who genuinely care about someone don’t ghost. Mature people just explain they lost interest or are moving on. A mature person may come back if they realize they really do like you after giving themselves space to think. But they aren’t going to play games either.

The only reason I have to start ignoring someone is if they’re pestering me and won’t stop after I told them.

I have never ghosted any girl in my life but in fact they have ghosted me without any explanation or reasons. Also some cheated on too.
