Why do guys ghost girls?

I've faced this when I met a guy. At first he was nice to me so I was nice to him too. He invited me out a few times and I gave in after that. We continued chatting for a short while then slowly he started taking longer and longer to reply my messages. In the end he totally didn't see my messages at all and yeah he ghosted me. Why do you guys think he did this though?

There is a statistic somewhere you have to look it up, but for every 100 girls who ghosted guys, there is only 1 guy who ghosted a girl. So the problem is not men, but women.
