I have this male co worker who likes to get in my face every single day just because and I never ever give him the reaction he wants. He likes to mind my business all the time, like what is up with him! He’s not my boss, nor a manager. But he’s always trying to get my attention. I ignore him or pretend I didn’t hear or see him. Coz he’s irritating the hell out of me. And imma about to report him! What should I do? I’m only 3 months on this job but I really like this job. I don’t want problems and he seems like the manager’s pet too.
+1 yReport what he is doing to you, using your phone if you can.

I think by the looks of it that he is either into you and trying to get a foot in the door by acting like a micromanager, so that eventually he can try to shoot his shot and ask you out, or he really is a manager's pet. Or both. I lean more towards the first option because I know a lot of guys try to play those kinds of games, acting as if they don't really like you and they're trying to be a pain as a way to actually get close to you. I could be totally wrong but that's what I'm thinking.

I tend to agree - and this is a clear way of shooting themselves in the foot before even getting that foot in the door. :D

+1 yI'm not mean to people because of their package I'm mean to them when they suck as people, regardless of what they're packing between their legs. I don't know what your work environment is like where that's tolerated. I've only had two people get in my face at work. Both of them had time on the ground after proper warning to think about bad life choices. Granted both times I had to talk to HR about "anger issues" but I just explained I wasn't angry, not even at the time, just not going to tolerate horseshit from racist trash.
10 Reply 4.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Sometimes u gotta push a hard line to let people to know when and how to fuck off. Ao u gotta tell him if he doesn't get that you been ignoring him, hey bro I don't know you so leave me alone and do your thing or fuck off. If he continues after that then u report him, but if you tell a man publicly or any weirdo I don't know YOU and why are you bothering me, that's more then enough to embarrass him just cause he's the managers pet doesn't mean he's gonna be OK with any type of harassment like that unless he wants to get sued or lose his job too lol

+1 yJust call him out on his behavior, no one expects to be called out and I have noticed this is an effective method to people that are annoying, ask him why he is always in your business, I don't know if that's a liable reason to report but if it is, why not lol
31 Reply825 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I've ever never had to outgrow that because I've never done it and with your coworker one day you just need to smile at him and say hey
dude so how long the doctor say you're going to act this way21 Reply
+1 yI grew out of that behavior around middle school.
I know women do exact same thing to men.
They'll act aggressive or act very mean to the guy they like for no reason.
But sadly, some nice men will take it to heart that she doesn't like him and will move on.
And the girl would wonder why he's acting cold and distant around her.
Men and women do this type of behavior to each other all the time.
I believe most should stop doing this type of behavior after they finished middle school or high school.
If they continue to act like that after grade school shows they're very immature and juvenile.10 ReplyStand your ground , he might feel lonely and uncomfortable. Assuming you haven’t shown any interest in the past he could be acting desperate. I would suggest having a genuine conversation. Be considerate about his feelings, but be direct about your feelings. If nothing changes after , he probably is stubborn or just lack the emotional intelligence to understand and you should look to change your environment.

+1 yI don't recall being that way around women. Maybe at age 8, when being nice to a gal, on my block, led to weirdos in the neighborhood accusing you and her of doing inappropriate things together, you shunned her just to protect yourself. Otherwise, no.
I only really get snippy with a woman if she's given me a very good reason to hold a grudge.

+1 yI’d go ahead and report him. Regardless of if this is the “be mean bc of a crush” that’s not how adults do it and if he’s bothering you, make a complaint. It’s your job, not a social setting
30 Reply824 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Some do, some don't. A lot of us men don't have a very high emotional IQ. Many of us barely understand what we are feeling and even fewer of us how to express it. Largely, male society in the US only appoves of anger as a male emotion. Fear, love, compassion, disappointment, sadness and so many others are seen as suspect, possibly gay.
00 ReplyI was never mean to anyone especially girls as a kid teenager and adult so I have no idea where you are coming from with that question
21 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I don't think it's necessarily outgrowing being mean, as much as accepting the woman's inherent superiority over us.
11 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. That's just obnoxious. Can you handle it, or do you need to talk to your manager? If it bothers you, take notes: when, where, what he said.
10 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Is he married? Find his home number and call from someone else’s phone and leave anonymous messages for his wife. There are apps that disguise your voice and phone number.

30 Reply2.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Yes, I mostly outgrown it. At least I used to until I got divorced from my ex who stole my child. After that I don't trust women at all.

+1 yHe sounds like one of those weird guys that doesn’t pick up on social cues, there’s a difference between playfully busting a girls balls and harassing her. Id go above the manager to the boss if u have to.
10 ReplyI finally did, ages 4 -12 I'd tease mercilessly the girl I liked. The best way to handle an instigator is to not give them the reaction they want.
10 ReplyI know someone who was in a similar situation once. They ended up quitting and moving to get away from the guy and regretting they hadn't done so earlier.
