We don’t know each other well and only met recently after I handed him a goofy gift I made.

He added me on social media and liked a bunch of my posts. I noticed he doesn’t add many people and hasn’t even liked half of the posts he is tagged in. I messaged him and it took him 2 days to respond. The messages said he thought I was bloody hilarious and my gift was the best gift he has ever gotten. I’ve posted on my story multiple times since my response to his aforementioned message, he has viewed all my stories, but it’s been three days with no response.

I noted his friends looking at me (at school) (no prior interactions). We’ve had multiple opportunities to interact but have not. He turns then quickly looks away. Recently he walked past my class and was looking at me but as soon as he saw me look at him, he turned his head faster than I thought possible.

I wonder if his eye contact avoidance is due to our first interaction where I was looking upwards into his eyes and he noticed and smiled with a slight huh? expression. Soon after, he went back to chatting.

Lately, he also watches me get in my vehicle home - coincidence? . His pickup area is nearby…

He is always in his big guy group or alone and rather quiet. I did approach him first but I now find him super intimidating- He’s super cute and towers over me (which isn’t common nor did I expect it, so I’m even more intimidated).

I have super crooked teeth and I don’t think he’s properly seen them yet which prevents me from starting conversations especially with people I like/respect (also iffy after the last guy I confessed to had a friend tell me he has OCD and my teeth might trigger it…).

My friend made a fake account (posted pinterest model pics) and requested him. He hasn’t responded to that req but two of his friends have since followed it, one messaging it (the dude was simping) when it had no other activity then requesting the guy I like. (I did not tell her to do this nor do I support it :( )

Update: I had a conversation with one of his friends who said he is extremely reserved + the friend sent a message and it’s been two days and he has not opened his friend’s message either + considered to rarely go on phone and social media, and friend found it weird that he was opening all my stories since he’s usually off his phone (haven’t seen him in person as sick lately)

he likely knows that you like him. but one thing i know for sure is... he doesn't know you well enough to like you back. You are also looking for every single reason on earth to believe that he likes you back. I was once this way too when I was younger.

do you have any common classmates that you both talk to in groups? is he in any of the school clubs? maybe join a club that he is in. Just place yourself in any situation where there is a group of people where you and he can be a part of. The reason why I said this is because if you approach him directly one on one, it might catch him off guard and if he is shy, it might intimidate him a bit. It places a lot of awkwardness and pressure on him. (Especially if he turns away when he catches you smiling at him). This shows he isn't entirely comfortable for whatever reason. Be outgoing and friendly in the group, eventually you can include him in your conversation with other people within the group. It takes the pressure off. Makes it seem less like you're intentionally approaching him.

Or you can get friendly with some of his friends. Getting to know his friends well is the easiest way to casually gain access to him.

If you do all of this and yet he seems to not want to talk to you or not open to you. It can mean that he's not interested or he's ridiculously shy. Usually it means that he's not interested. But you never know.

Another thing to note is that middle school boys are very immature. I know this because I was in middle school at one point. You're really just dealing with a bunch of immature kids.

directly approach him and try to talk to him. Take a look at his response. If he seems receptive, there is a chance that he might be interested. Then Prolong the conversation and see where it goes. Try to talk to him any chance you get. Laugh at his jokes , be smiley, lots of eye contact (not too much though). Eventually he will get the hint that you like him. And just watch his response. If he is interested, he would want to talk to you again and again.

It seems like you really want to know if this guy likes you and you’re trying your best to get a feel of the situation.

It’s possible he could be interested in you. I think direct communication is the best way. I can understand how you can feel self conscious, but I say summon up some courage and ask this person if he feels the same way about you or if he has any interest in getting to know you.

don't do the unnecessary detective work when you can find the answer for free from him.
