Likely he's gonna flirt and that should be obvious. Everyone flirts differently but you should be able to tell. The only time it is tough is if he is shy or introverted and doesn't have that "game". Another way you can tell is if you flirt with him and there is a positive reaction. Sometimes that's what you gotta do if they don't make a move. Have to take things into your own hands and give him a nudge.

As a guy, talking about how a guy shows interests, I can tell you the most common signs of a man showing interest.
1. I said man, so he'll look you straight in the eye, and if your are receptive to his eye contact, then he'll approach you. Unless its the titanic and everyone has to hold on to the rails and can't move.

2. Since I brought up the titanic it perfectly aligns with shy guys, if they aren't showing any signs of confidence, but are interested in you, they will feel nervous, this is because they feel a 'spark.'
And I know you know what that is. If you met me, lucky you.

Anyways 3rd sign: He will talk louder to get your attention, and; not always the case, try to impress you. These guys will usually not hold very strong eye contact, but will look at you many times. (females do this as well. For every woman I've been with, they'll happily say this.)

Four sign: They will act different when you are around, fix there outfit, try to look more 'cool'
These are the guys that yet to develop their own individuality.

So, correlating to other signs I did not mention, but you might be wondering is if they act a certain way that you seen other guys act around a female they like. This is part of the human bias, to fit in, or herd mentality.
