Do guys really hate texting?

Serious question. Generally, do guys hate texting as compared to girls? Then how do you guys communicate with your partner? Dont tell me you guys literally call all the time everyday💀

There's no emotional bonding going on there. If I'm having a bad day and want to hear her voice to cheer me up then a text and emoji isn't going to do it. So yes, I call whenever I actually care. I have text conversations because I'm playing with the rescue kittens/Xbox/myself and don't want to be bothered with interacting with the bit players in my life.

No, I never mind texting. In fact I prefer texting as compared to other forms of communication.

Of course I can also call, speak face to face also but texting is my preferred mode of communication.

Does that mean you guys just talk about something ‘important’ all the time? Because thinking the idea of talking something random/small talk while doing it via calling seems abit odd. Especially if you want to do so everyday. As compared to chat, it is normal and expected to chat everyday and nearly all the time unlike calling, get what i mean?

Yeah if it’s important I’d rather call but if I haven’t seen my girlfriend for 2 or more days we’ll call just to update each other on everything. We usually text if for example she sends me a funny pic or something, or if we need to ask each other a question

If I have nothing "important" to say, all day, then i'm in the hospital or unconscious. I despise small talk with strangers, I hate it even more with important people in my life. It's normal to chat everyday? Since when? I'm actually never going to chat with you, because that's the worst of both worlds. That requires my attention, unlike texting, with none of the interpersonal communication of talking. The only time I've chatted with a girlfriend was when I was deployed and couldn't call, but I'm certainly not going to do it every day stateside. If she's busy because she's doing something else, sure text me. If she wants to bond. Call me. Why would she send me a chat request? Serious question.

I text for things like "Hey, I'm running five minutes late." For everything else, I call. It is MUCH more effective that texting.

I will text if it isn't important, but when we get home we actually talk to each other.
If it is important we call, but we don't live on our phones, so we may text each other once or twice a day.
