Guys who suck at texting?

Dating this guy about 2-3 months now and he told me he sucks at texting and super introverted. I mentioned more than twice over the past few months my love language is affirmation and i would appreciate it if he could check up on me at least once a week and apologized but doesn’t text me much still. I’m honestly sad and not sure if he is not serious with me. But whenever our planned date comes up (we meet biweekly) he would text me to make plans and looks excited to meet me.

I don’t know how to tell him his lack of texts makes me sad especially when he put in a lot of effort in the beginning.

Why don't you call each other instead of texting? I personally hate texting too and I don't bother to have conversations through text or casual texting. He reminds me of my husband we only used to text each other whenever was time to plan for dates and every time we met in person was great.

Every night the girl I’m seeing always texts me first asking how my day was. She has a busy schedule with school and studying. First started texting her but I would worry if I would bother her at the wrong. I discussed that with her and now she texts first. I’m introverted myself and am horrible at talking. But some how I manage to hold a text conversation all night. Try reaching out to him and just ask how his day was every night. I hope this helps.

Date more often if he can't be bothered to take 5 minutes out of his week to text you? That comes off as lazy to me. Or he's doing something else other than you. I don't think introversion is a legitimate excuse if he's enthusiastic to meet you in person and but is negligent about one of the easiest forms of communication in texting.
