Why does my boyfriend has to go somewhere whenever I talk to him about my concerns?

So I have seen a pattern for about 1.5 years that whenever I try to talk about sth important my boyfriend has to go somewhere like for cooking, for playing games , etc. I have observed this may be 5 times. I have even talked to him about this and he says it is what it is. Is it just coincidence or he doesn't care? What might be the deal?

Long story short my mother was living with my sister buying a house stuff happened and she has Alzheimer's and dementia and she wanted to move away from there I told her she wasn't going anywhere she could live with me and spend one of the hardest things ever

I can't really work anymore unless I can get a couple little side jobs that won't take too long I've had to turn down big ones so I find myself on the computer a lot more

I have friends that I talk to and for me my time schedule is everywhere because I don't have one but I can start a conversation with somebody and say hey I got to go and I hate doing that that I have to be responsible and take care of what I got to take care of was there it be something in my personal life my work life or now trying to keep my mom safe and so it's hard to do so that's about the only answer I can give you is that I do the same thing and it's not because I want to it's because I have to take care of something all of a sudden and it sucks but it is what it is and I will deal with it

Why don't you ask him if he has anything to do before you start talking?

I definitely ask him before talking he says we can talk but leave in between conversations
