Why can't men give you honest answers?

For me I don't care about my feelings getting hurt anymore it happens so much I'm use to it.

Everyone has the potential to lie. But it truly depends on circumstances. I’ve had girls not give honest answers to me as well as guys.


Often times it comes from a place of lack of communication. One or both parties are making assumptions that aren’t accurate. And when you aren’t communicating well with each other it compounds.


Sometimes people do it also to protect the other person’s feelings or emotions. Which often isn’t fair. And again can come from a place of lack of good communication. Unless the person is a complete jerk, communicating honestly works best. Because you want the best for them, and sitting down and talking it through is the best way to achieve that.


Finally. Sometimes it could be from a place of malice or their own gain. Politicians for example lie all the time to advance their own agenda or career.


Of course it’d be so much easier if everyone was honest, kind, and respectful. But sadly that isn’t the world we live in. Often times tho people forget that living up to those values works way better in the long run. Even if it feels difficult in the short term.

Sometimes questions are asking from a source of insecurity so a direct answer helps no one and can be remembered for a long time. Best to identify such trick questions and understand why they are being asked

Not at all. You can give direct answers while still being aware of insecurity. It requires giving more detail in your answer and having a real conversation instead of just a one time answer. But if someone isn’t willing to sit down and have a conversation, they aren’t worth your time.

A lot of times people think you can’t be honest or direct without being a jerk. And that’s simply not true. You can be honest and direct while being kind and respectful. Those who tell you otherwise are just jerks.

To start with, I *personally* am the type that tells the straight, hard truth - as tactfully and respectfully as I can, but still the truth. I don't support lying. That being said, I absolutely UNDERSTAND why many men don't agree with me.

Most women do NOT want to be told the truth, they want to be told what they want to hear. As someone who speaks the truth, I'm very much in a position to know how upset SO MANY women get when they're told the truth. I've even had women come out and SAY that they would rather be lied to! I'm not saying all women are like this - there are women who truly want and appreciate the truth - but they are the exception today rather than the rule.

Women have TRAINED men to lie to them - men get much better results, especially in the short term, if they lie and tell the girl what she wants to hear. And conversely, men who tell the truth are FAR more likely to be punished by women for doing so, in various ways. The reason I get away with it is because I DON'T CARE - which, ironically, is something that many women find attractive about me.

But the average guy, having tried telling the truth and getting poor results, and having lied and gotten much better results, quickly learns that lying is the way to go.

If you want men to tell you the truth, you have to RESPECT and APPRECIATE them when they do. The vast majority of modern women absolutely do not - just the opposite in fact, they get offended and upset and combative. Perhaps you don't - that's great - but if you stand by while other women are doing it to other men, and you don't stand up and say something, then you are still responsible, to a degree, for it happening. Women certainly aren't going to listen to men, so it's up to women to police the behavior of other women, and if you don't, you shouldn't expect anything to change.

Also, I don't see any need to be brutally honest in most cases..
Like she if something she made doesn't taste that good, but not that bad.. then why would yoi unnecessarily cause a negative environment with negative honest comments?

Men are more likely to give frank and honest answers to questions. If the guys are lying to you here, it means they are simps and try to make you feel good in the hope of going into pm.
