Why guys don’t take me seriously?

I only attract jerks who only want me for a pastime but not for a relationship? Like why is there something wrong with me? What can I fix?

Many people will tell you that it's because you are choosing wrong but let me tell you, that's only a part of it.

1. From your profile, you're 17. Majority of men do not commit seriously at this age and they know it. So they are not looking for a life partner at 17.

2. You're attractive. Guys love collecting woman that are in their eyes, a prize. They probably don't like you for you and will just pretend to like you so that they can get into your pants and then boast.

3. You attract what you are. If you are emotionally unavailable, then you attract men who are like that. If you are anxious and are easily manipulated, some dudes will lead you on for YEARS and then dump you when they find someone 'better'. Someone we date people that confirm the idea we have of ourselves. For example, if you think you're unlovable, you will choose guys who are hot and cold and who treat you poorly and this will then reconfirm that you are unlovable.

Focus on you and learn what you like and dislike in a future partner. You're young, don't stress yourself to find someone just because.

I think firstly you may want to consider self evaluation like finding patterns in the guys you are attracting , then if there is sth you did or said wrong try to work on that part and if it's not the case then there is problem with those guys. However, as the time passes you will get more mature and attract the ones who want relationship with you. Now is the time to focus on yourself, love yourself, working on yourself and your studies , career and love will automatically follow you little sis.

Some people just suck in general and try to use others. That said, you'll be able to filter a lot of those types out by clearly expressing and enforcing your boundaries and talking about your personal interests and hobbies.

It's kind of a sticky conversation, but not many women realize that they don't give guys enough of their personalities to really connect with romantically, so they physical stuff is all the guy has to connect with.

It's also distinctly possible, and this is another unfortunately sticky conversation, but it's possible that your personality might just suck.

I once went on a date with a lady who I'd known online for the better part of a year. Even though we'd gotten along quite well digitally, interacting with her in person made it quite obvious to me that we were not a good fit at all. I don't think I've ever met someone with a more condescending demeanor.
