Like what's with the change? He's stuttering and acting awkward in my presence and looks at me even though we barely interacted. I thought he thinks I'm stupid (I made some mistakes at work which pissed him off)? Is this common in men?

Maybe the more he got to know you the more it changed his opinion of you from a not so great one to a good one. That is entirely possible and really the only thing that makes sense to me. Go with it if you like him. Just word of caution... dating coworkers can be messy if things go south so just be prepared. I don't know if that can be something that you can say common to one gender. I think people's perceptions change once you really get to know someone. I am sure you can relate to that at some point in your life.
I'm not gonna date a colleague especially not a toxic on. Heck, snapping at someone's mistakes instead of talking about it and helping each other is a big red flag for me.
Oh totally agree. That is the right way to handle mistakes. You learn from them and move on. Reacting negatively doesn't help the situation.
I think he's develop a crush on you.
