Why would my coworker start blushing?

My coworker was on his vacation for a week. And he returned on Monday and I didn't know he was coming back date. When he saw me out eyes met at the same time he started smiling and his face turned slightly red.

Second time he was mentioning my name to another coworker she came back and told that when Nelson was mentioning my name his face light up like a Christmas tree. I don't know what that means. And he's constantly staring at me he doesn't care who sees him it like no matter what he just has to look at me and I'm not doing anything interesting at all I could be stapling papers together for God sake.

I'm in love with him too. Should I tell him? I'm really nervous. Should I text him how I feel or do it in person. I'm so scared. I've wanted to tell him how I felt but wasn't for sure if he liked me at all.
