My boss always spends time talking to me, talking too much sometimes, is extra nice, compliments my clothes and perfume, tries to make me smile and laugh and says he gets worried when I look depressed and fed up.

s I am sure that he cares. Most bosses do care about the well being of their employees. Sure you will have some that are all about the bottom line and work work work but most are compassionate people. That is part of what makes them a good boss and why people work for them. I am sure he is just being a good person and genuinely cares that you and the rest of his employees are doing well not just at work but in life too. I don't think he looks at it as he feels bad that you are single.
I don’t think he’s doing it b/c he feels bad. I think it’s normal for bosses to care & have that kind of rapport with employees. What kind of environment/setting do you work in?
