My guy friend did something out of character?

He teases me a lot: calling me names, making jokes about my weight and how I don’t have a boyfriend and never have had one before. Then a few nights ago a few of my friends (including him) met up and got drunk. We both got pretty drunk and he started saying how he doesn’t understand how I’ve never been in a relationship and that I could get any guy I want. I don’t understand this cos it’s so unlike him. Up until that night I thought he thought of me as one of the ugliest girls. Should I take it as drunken behaviour or what?

Teasing normally isn't meant to emotionally harm you and what I mean by this is that it's normally not to insult, it's to get a reaction out of you for humor purposes, which means he can find you attractive yet still teas you, mostly if a guy is crushing on You, they can tease to get a cute or adorable response back from you because truth be told a huge percentage of when a guy teases a girl they like about something, it's normally because they admire that same feature they are teasing you about, that truth serum basically just made him blur our something he probably wouldn't have said sober which in your case would be evidence that he finds you attractive.
