Is it ok to text a guy I like who’s going through a tough time with jobs and tell him I’m thinking of him?

This guy I like, male friend , we were chatting last week for a few hours and he was telling me he was going through a tough time with work and looking for a new job etc and I want to just send him a text to say ‘hope your weeks going well any developments on the work situation. I’m thinking of you anyway’ or does that sound a bit pathetic? Any other ideas welcomed

It would totally be a good idea, as a guy we generally don't get too much direct attention from women compared to what we're expected to give out if we like someone.

As a woman this could really make you stand out above the rest by saying something small as 'hey I was actually thinking about you'.

The only real advice though is dont start sending these types of messages by a large ammount since it might come off as too much

Initiating a little hint like this will 100% work in your favor and also in a guys mind it would motivate him to start thinking about asking you out if he feels the same way about you.

Some guys aren't willing to make a move anymore because of some girls putting out sexual assault allegations for just asking them out, without at least a small hint of success it can make the first move for a guy really scary and it will be avoided all together.

Absolutely you can do that. I bet he would appreciate that someone is sympathetic to his situation and thinking of him. That isn't pathetic at all. It is really sweet. We all go through tough times in life. To have some support or at least knowing someone out there knows that we are struggling is nice. If it were me I would include something like if you want to talk about things feel free to reach out or something along those lines. Just knowing there is someone willing to listen is going to bring some peace of mind.

Guys like to know that they matter and that someone believes in them. What girls nowadays be saying things like: Oh he's a man, he can handle it. No, they have feelings too. The greatest thing you can do for them is tell them you still think about them. It might just distract him from the stress.
