He answers my texts but not his parents does this mean anything?

I've been talking to someone who's in the military now. Everytime I ask him something he immediately answers. Apparently he doesn't answer his parents' texts. Does this mean anything?(he has a girlfriend which makes it super weird) what would he take his time to text me that he's alright if he doesn't care about me? Pls answer or dm me I need help
