Why is he so talkative with others but with me he’s awkward and barely talks to me but always gets my attention to say hi?

Most likely its because he likes you.

As a guy if you're with a girl you like you think about stuff like how do I look and how do I smell and how does she think of this that etc.

Most likely he can't really focus on a normal conversation or is too self concious to act like himself, afraid some flaws will shine through. But everyone should realise we all have good and bad parts about ourselves since nobody is perfect.

Yes men get emotional too (although differently) and it takes experience and confidence to be able to be yourself in situations like this

I don’t know if that’s exactly the case. I would think a guy who likes me would eventually like open up. Sometimes he says hi and stuff but other times he sometimes doesn’t even look at me. It’s weird.

Each guy is different, although all that's clear are signals that he likes you but doesn't want everyone to know about it yet
