Should I ask him out?

Despite having known one another for years, we have been friends for more than two months. Although I've always liked him, I never gave it much thought. He assisted me with my dress on prom night (it was really long and puffy), and we took group photos. I think he's interested in me, but I could be misinterpreting his signals. We spent a few days hanging out at school together, and whenever we talk, he confides in me when he can't tell me everything. Stress has made me a little aloof lately, and I'm not sure if I should just ask him out. I'm not sure if he feels the same way about me, but some of his buddies advised me to ask him out.

1. If his friends are telling you to ask him out, they probably know that he is interested in you.

2. If you are still a bit hesitant, ask him to meet you for lunch. It is fr less likely to be construed as a "date" when it occurs in the daytime. Mention to him a new restaurant that you would like to try for dinner some time, and if he is interested, and not dead, he will take the hint and ask you for dinner. When he asks, respond by saying, "Great. It's a date!" That signals your interest in clear terms.
