Are periods gross to talk about?

One of my guy friends get grossed out whenever I talk about my period. I don’t go into deep details about my period but I literally just tell him on my period and he gets grossed out about it. He says it’s not normal and hates when I bring it up.

He is much older than me and has two daughters who will get to this stage.

Before the late `80's, women just didn't talk about their periods and guys would normally get close to physically sick to hear ANYTHING about periods or if they even saw, let alone, TOUCHED ANYTHING to do with periods. I never understood why. It's just a part of nature! It doesn't seem to bother them to put their finger tongue or dick in the hole where that stuff comes from!
They seem to think that talking about such things is gonna make their balls shrivel up and their dick to fall off, like that's a really bad thing!
Personally, I have no problem at all talking about it and can even give some advice on how to deal with it, sometimes.

for younger guys it seems to be quite gross for mature men nope. it happens once a month it requires attention multiple times. and sometimes you have to be intimate with your partner while she is on her period because the intimacy reduces the pain from it.

I've never had an issue with men being grossed out. I was the same as you. Never went into detail but did tell them I had my period. Actor Adam Sandler has a movie where his character knew when his daughter had her period.

I thinks it's weird when men get grossed out about it.

a little—just like other liquids coming from the body, but for periods it’s more appropriate to talk about because a woman has to go through other discomforts that last a while. in other words, it’s nothing for you to feel ashamed or bad about, but have you ever known someone who can’t stand a word like “moist “? it’s just his reaction to the images in his head. at least that’s my take

Personally I wish girls would be more honest about the period. Give me a heads up when they are not feeling well from it. Instead of getting extremely moody all of a sudden and then treating me bad, when I didn't even know what I did wrong.

No, it's fine to talk about periods. All women get them. I had sex with a woman right in the middle of her period and it was great for both of us.
