Why did he do this?

So I work with this guy, let’s call him D. D and I started carpooling together as he lived nearby. It was completely innocent at first as he told me he has a girlfriend of 2 years. But the banter we had was always borderline flirtatious. Then one day he kissed me before dropping me off and thing spiralled where we were making out nearly every other day and non stop texting (I know I am wrong for this and it was a shit move on my part) but he initiated it all and then he ends up buying a house with her and now lives with her. Why did he do all those things with me if he’s in a happy relationship?

We rarely speak now however if he sees me he will always flick my head or kick the back of my leg for no reason. Why do that if you have a girlfriend.

Whoa this is messed up. That D guy was totally wrong to lead you on like that while still with his girlfriend.

Some possibilities for why he did it:

- He was enjoying the attention and ego boost of flirting with someone new, even if he didn't really want to break up with his girl.

- Maybe things weren't that great with his girlfriend but he wasn't ready to end it yet. So he was getting his kicks on the side with you.

- Could be he's just naturally a flirtatious/shady guy who doesn't respect boundaries and will mess around until someone holds him accountable.

- The little kicks/hits now could be his immature way of teasing/asserting power since he got away with cheating.

Honestly, don't waste your time trying to understand cheaters. Dude is scum for doing that to his girl and messing with your feelings too. Do yourself a favor and keep your distance now. Don't fall for his crap again - you deserve way better!
