Just like houses, cars, objects, things, women are seen like the objects of men, and men can have them by paying them. When in reality women are just humans too.

+1 yBecause for a very long time, women were effectively treated as property. Even after women gained the right to vote, there were still a lot of places that had no desire to give women the same level of independence as men so they would deny them jobs, houses, or bank accounts if they were single women and wouldn’t give them those freedoms unless it was through their husbands or fathers. It was until the 1970’s when banks universally decided to let women have single-income bank accounts and credit cards. It’s really only been the millennial and gen z generations are the ones where there has been a complete freedom and independence for women, with gen x and baby boomers still experiencing that patriarchal influence that says women can only have a life when they’re married. Women have completely embraced this, not all men have. Up until these last 2 generations all a man had to do to find a wife was not be openly abusive. Now things have changed and while some men have learned to be better and do better than their patriarchal-influenced predecessors, not all men have and they instead double-down on the idea that women are meant to be their property, that women are subservient as they had been for the sake of survival. It’s a dying idea, and they know it. That’s why so many alpha male podcasters are hopelessly single despite talking about how much sex they get to have.

-But what about "Fem-sole" where a woman didn't get married, but kept the property given to her by her father.
-Or the "White Feather Campaign"..
-Or the Titanic where almost all of the men who boarded the ship died, and if they didn't they were called Cowards and shunned for the rest of their lives.
-Or that men had to risk their lives to go to War just to vote, or do mandatory bucket duty.. None of which women had to do.
-Or how the first millionaires in America and in the "Black" Community were "Women".. All three.. In fact there was a woman who ran a Brothel inclusive for "White" men to get with "Biracial" women.. They didn't shut the business down cause she was a woman but because prostitution was illegal..
- How about the times where if a man beat his wife, he was put on the whipping post and if she beat him he was dragged through the town and humiliated even further for letting a woman do that to him.
-Or the fact that husbands had to share their property no matter what with their wives.. But all the woman's property was hers.. I could go on honestly. - +1 y

The manosphere is pathetic. But there is a big resurgence in general fundamentalist religionist views about the role of men and women as decreed by God.
As long as people who believe their Bible is superior to logic exist, we will be fighting this battle against them.
And they will never go away. It's exhausting. - +1 y
Honestly, this sounds like a bunch of wah-wah stuff. Whatever it was it is no longer, it's all on women not to make their own why, just like it's been for men since the beginning of time. Stop complaining about history and take charge of your own life and start telling people to knock off the bullshit.
The Past is out of our control to effect, but the future is in your hands.
I am not going to held reasonable as a man, for what some other men did 100 years ago, get over it and stop looking for excuses. - +1 y
@DaveJord I think as a man you require honesty.
I think the main reason that men get upset when women speak these truths, is because of leftists and liberals.
Leftists and liberals want to destroy liberty, in order to enforce a morality that says "women must be given preferential treatment in order to rectify the abuses of the past."
If we decide to maintain liberty and freedom in the face of the leftists and feminists, regardless of whatever facts are indeed truth and reality, we can maintain liberty while also acknowledging the truth.
Unfortunately people like you and other conservative minded men, are terrified of what the leftists and feminists will do to our liberty.
And I agree. Liberty is the greatest value.
But that does not negate the truths. That doesn't negate the fact that a good half of the population of men see women as literal objects.
It's undeniable. It continues to this day.
You don't need to deny it. I think you guys deny out of weakness. - +1 y

You both make very good points, and I am not disagreeing with you. All I am saying is at some point it all becomes counterproductive to talk about shit that happened way before we were born. What's the point, that is not what it is today.
I am not conservative, but I am not woke... too much of what you have said sounds to woke to me. You want to talk about the challenges of women over the history of the world.
So what? What's your point? In 2024 its counterproductive, it mucking your mind in the past, and not focusing on the future. It is only ensuring that future generations, don't have to pull up their bootstraps and get to work. No excuse, no history lessons required. Just get to work and stop looking for excuses, take control of your life and stop living in the past.
Wah-wah-wah.
Only ones point fingers and hanging on to old animosity and then putting a modern twist on it is you guys. It will not resolve anything, it only reopens old wounds, that would otherwise heal themselves, and reinforces old bias and negativities. When at the end of the day, whatever your issue is today is your issue, own it and address it, without blaming other people, scapegoating men at large, and start making better choices.
Now, the answer to the ordinal question in 2023, it is women who make themselve objects. It's not men, it is women doing it to themselves. Go on to any social media sites, and women are objectifying themselves. Posting half naked pics of themselves for likes and followers. They find it validating and self-empowering, and no matter what you want to say some man did in 1920... does not change the fact of what women are doing to themselves today. And that is no man's fault. - +1 y

+1 yThe answer to this question is inobvious but simple.
Nature created men to be the more powerful gender. They are bigger and physically stronger and in nature that is ultimately what counts when it comes to having power.
Men have always dominated women since the dawn of the human race and as long as they continue to be the physically dominant of the two genders they always will.
That's why you hear generation after generation of women lamenting that they are "forced" to be the submissive gender and it isn't fair. But nothing ever changes and they can't understand why.
The flaw in their view is that nature has no concept of "fairness." It's irrelevant to nature whether it is "fair" that bigger animals prey on smaller ones. Nature is concerned with things like ensuring survival of a species, maximum reproduction and such. "Fair" is not a natural objective. So those who view everything with an eye towards "diversity, equity and inclusion" are deluding themselves into thinking that they can defy nature and millions of years of evolution. They arrogantly think that they are somehow able to escape their natural design that is coded into human DNA. It's a nice fantasy, but it will never work.
So men "own" women in a very close to precise definition of the term. So it has always been and so it will always be unless evolution (many many many tens of thousands of years in the future at least... if ever) changes our natural design.

+1 yI do not think this is true at all. In the year 2023, not only is this not the case in any developed Western nation but it’s outright laughable. Women have tremendous freedom and advantage in modern, current society. In fact many, many, women chose to live life completely independent of a man and yet are able to have success, own property, and so on. I do not think any women (again, in any developed western nation) are currently thought of as objects of men, with some outlier and notable exceptions such as prostitution or sub-cults where this is their practice.

+1 yBecause they DID used to be property unfortunately. The U. S. society especially back in previous centuries THOUGHT of women as second class and "just part of Adam's rib" type of thing. One of the reasons was because they were less physically strong compared to a man. It was usually the MAN who did the hunting and killing and the woman's job was to be with other women and have the babies, tend to the house/cave, gather berries and food and tend to other household duties.. It's only recently in the 20th century did things start to change (some people say for the better and others -maybe the men lol, wouldn't agree)..
Also, yeah, unfortunately, because of brute strength, men used to be able to just RAPE women and get away with it! People would think it was okay! Even up to the Meideval Times, it was like that. We were't even allowed to vote, drive, or have our say at certain meetings, etc. They didn't have the phrase "Man of the house" for nothing..
On the other hand, I think prostitution was invented by a Female but it was definitely endorsed by a man. The female was usually poor or in poverty and one way for her to get her own money was to sell her sex for money.

There is nothing wrong with that. It's as normal as appreciating beautiful art, a cute puppy, colorful flowers or landscapes.
But if you interact with or know a person and still see them as an object, there is something wrong with you. Because people are far, far more than mere objects. They have complex thoughts, feelings, and needs.
I agree, women are humans, too. Obviously.10 Reply
+1 yBy some minority, probably...
So, let's drop generalisation and talk about specific cases.
Men are different. Most of them are reasonable human beings and don't treat other human beings as objects. Done. Period.
But we still have some mommyboys, who think that the only real woman in this world is their mommy. Some really hard hurt men, who, because of their experiences, objectify women and some idiots with overgrowth egos, who think they are the best and women are to serve them...10 Reply- 528 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic.
+1 yThis is nonsense. How does anyone even get married if women are only seen as objects. Men fall in love with the person. Having a physically attractive face and body are definitely going to attract guys for sex, including good guys, but it's not enough to make the good guys stay.
30 Reply I'm a man, and I don't see women as objects. But I do see women who put themselves in situations to where they get treated as such. For example, if a woman sells her body for sex. That is kinda on her, I think. Also if a woman posts nude pictures of herself. Again that is her choice. We got to be very careful with our terms and definitions. I feel like I love women, and I don't look down on the. It hurts my feelings when a woman choose to sell her body for sex. Or posts nudes and later regrets it.
00 Reply788 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. You go on Instagram and all you see are women making themselves objects for me to look at. Remember how they used to blame men for objectifying women? Now its women objectifying themselves. Nobody is making any woman post half naked pics of themselves on the internet. NOBODY but women are doing that to themselves.
So please, stop trying to scapegoat men for the shit women do.10 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yWomen are seen as the property of men, but women also sexualize themselves trying to please lonely stranger men and guys for money so she's oppressing herself. But I have seen women treat men like shit and say things like "his balls are my property", I think we live in a hate filled world right now. I see women today trying to push this anti-male revolution through feminism (ie: femcels), it's hard to trust women. Women and girls shouldn't be seen as objects but men and guys shouldn't be viewed as disgusting, lying, POS pigs in the minds of females.
