Can you be too forward with a shy guy?

Telling a guy I'm interested after knowing him for two weeks.

Too aggressive or just right?

There's a guy I'm interested in, but he's really shy. He told me he's never had a girlfriend and that he's definitely not a socialite.

I've known him for about two weeks now and know I really like this guy. We spent over 3 hours one night talking instead of doing homework (stopped talking because the library closes at midnight). Would telling him that I'm interested in him or asking him out be too forward?

I don't know if something that aggressive would freak a guy out.. He's also in one of my classes, so I'd rather things not get awkward.

If he's not a socialite and you've only known him for two weeks, I would say yes, telling him you like him would be a little too forward. I say flirt with him for a little while first. If he sees you with other guys and that you act differently around him than you do with them, that should get some of his attention. Then maybe ask him out if he doesn't ask you first.

have you tried flirting with him and seeing how he reacts? At times shy people can close up when they know some one likes them only because they are not sure how to react/ recipricatte. sometimes if you want something you gotta go for it even ig a shy guy likes you chances are low that he will act first.

go ahead. you don't have to be lazy and insecurely wait for everything to come to you like all the other girls on this website. and to answer the question: no, you cannot be too forward with a shy guy. he's probably clueless to be honest. he probably thinks that you only think of him as a friend.

I'm a shy guy and I appreciate it when girls ask me first or provide an obvious opening for me to ask them out. It's not being too aggressive, sometimes it's actually the only way to get a shy guy.

I don't think so. Just be cool with it though, like know when to back off or not be too forward if he's uncomfortable.

since he's shy, go for it! What do you have to lose, not like he will tell lots of people if he says no.
