What does it mean when a guy compares size of his one hand with a woman?

I'm asking this question since I noticed that more than one guy has done this.

On my first date with my ex, he compared his one hand with mine. I thought he was going to use it as a tactic to lock fingers with me while we had palm to palm, but he didn't do that.

But my ex did have big hands so I could see the point of him doing that. My hands were like baby hands compared to his.

Recently I've been on dates with this guy. We have locked fingers while we walked around to different places, so it's not like we haven't touched each other's hands.

At one point when we were talking while leaning against a rail/fence, he compared his one hand with mine, also did not hold my hand. He also looked at my feet and asked my shoe size.

I'm wondering if comparing hand sizes is something that guys commonly do, and if that means something?

You sound like a romantic person trying to find cues on every behavior. Probably, the guys are too bored with the talk and ran out of talking points. They are looking here and there to keep going somehow till they can get underneath the blanket.
