Why are old crushes bitter?

Say they had crush on you but you rejected, why do they start acting like you both never knew each other? Strangers at least smiles.

Rejection sucks. It just depends on how you went about rejecting them. If you were kind and respectful. They need to get over it and move on. You did them a favor. You didn’t lie to them or string them along. So they can go out to find a girl whose genuinely interested in them.

Let them have time to grieve and if they won’t talk to you. Just leave them alone. Some may even feel like because you rejected them. Now they need to reject and hurt you. Even if you have been good friends and still want to keep your friendship. Sometimes they were even just pretending to be your friend in order to sleep with you, others may have just caught feelings over time.

Rejection can hurt and not everyone takes it well. Also comes down to how that rejection was given. For example sorry but I don’t like guys with black hair, then proceeds to date guy with black hair.
