Is he scared or not interested?

We just reconnected. I’ve know him since 7th grade and we’re both in our mid 20’s. I sent him a picture (appropriate) from bed and he complimented me asking for more pictures and asked him to return them. Two days later is the day we planned a date. Although, he hasn’t opened up my message or replied to him sending another picture back lol. Today we have a date and he hasn’t replied since Tuesday. Is he scared or not interested. An if he’s scared should I confirm if we are still on for the day later?

Reach out if you want but i personally wouldn’t. He knows what today is and has purposely left your message untouched despite being online. I don’t like to entertain the whole “scared” thing because if that’s the case he should’ve never reconnected with you or set a date. He should be single to work through his fears first before dating if they affect how he treats women.

No worries! Do what feels right for you but personally I wouldn’t bother blocking unless I was super pissed. I’d either just unfriend him or not speak anymore.

My logic is that blocking relays a deep felt issue, and I wouldn’t want him to “know” he got me in that negative space, even if he did. On top of that, I have the restraint to really be done. He could reach out or try to engage as much as he wants, but once he’s blown me off or ghosted, my self respect is just too high to double back and give him another chance. Aka another opportunity to disappoint or hurt me.

Viewing your story without a reply is a red flag. Don’t chase, attract. You gave him room to chase and he missed that opportunity.

@asker any guy that has left me on read on dates that were planned, I always say it’s a no go, and quite frankly I have no regrets. Those men still don’t have girlfriends, so it’s more so a him issue that he pushes off chances

He's probably scared if you liked you for that long and you're just now getting around to him or it's been so long that he just wants to know that he can and now he might not care. That is a toss up there. But I would have to go with he's nervous because he liked you for so long and you're acknowledging him now
