Just a thought to see what y’all think masculinity means. I’m hoping to see more other responses but I encourage you to share your reasoning with your answer.
1 yintelligence combined with life experience
witty humor, combined with a distance to himself (so he won't get offended if I joke about him)
communication skills
the ability to change the perspective and provide a unique view of the situation
the ability to analyze the problem and provide a few possible solutions to choose from
an open mind and willingness to learn
would be nice, if he was stronger and at least a bit taller than this tiny, scrawny redhead, lol

Masculinity is walking your father's foot steps, it's your manly pride and dignity, it's how you demand respect, it's what gets your out of bed to put up with obstacles in the work place to provide and protect your family. It's how you represent your family name with honour. It's your sense of tolerance and attraction to femininity.
Fictional: it's your armour in battle, it's how courage to stand up to unfairness. And it's your lion heart in the human jungle 😁07 Reply- 1 y
providing is not a masculine trait, you are either a breeder girls wants to have sex or the provider who girls uses for money/security/attention/chores
look at animals, no male animal provides anything for the females other than sperm, they mate, they go and even if they don't they have a harem and still not provides anything other than protection and muscle power and before you say we are humans and more evolved, no we are not, biologically we are the same polygynous creatures (wanting to spread your genes as much as possible and not the other guyses) only human womans are different than female animals with having only being able to have 1 guys children. Providing isn't masculine 🙄You're 21 😂😂 You've barely experienced anything. Your generation is doomed

dude just wrote what i wrote or do some research before desperately attack my age, no seriously it makes you look desperate and ignorant to call me on my age and acting like the mature one here, i have the experience some people who are in their late 30s still might not experienced, stop with the assumptions, assumptions are for the weak and stupid ones. You're projecting. Who's commented on my opinion desperate for attention? It's you kid 😂but nice try. When you become a man, come back and talk about masculinity. Now you're just as confused as everyone in your generation, and your opinion is irrelevant.
You still commenting 🙄 my wife is your mum 😂 so suck your mum, you little bellend

1 yIt is how you carry yourself.
For the most part, both men and women can have the same good traits, yet will go about it differently - for better or for worse. I know you want specific examples, but I do not want to write an essay about it, lmao.00 Reply
1 yMasculinity doesn't exist in the way you're thinking. All i know is the biological male and the biological female. Everything else is based on individuals and their unique personalities

1 yCharacter traits evolved and refined culturally to produce people who traditionally performed male-dominated tasks like being leaders, protectors, and providers. They vary slightly from culture to culture but all have that in common.
12 ReplyI also don't see it as "male". Females can benefit from adopting these traits if they want to be leaders, protectors, and providers. They're just character traits well-suited for these roles. "Feminine" traits as I see it are traits well-suited to be followers, nurturers, and supporters.
Likewise I don't see "feminine" as "female". Males can benefit from adopting these traits if they want to be followers, nurturers, and supporters. So I don't associate "masculinity" and "femininity" with sex but just what traits are best-suited for specific roles. "Masculine" traits are best-suited for roles traditionally held by men. "Feminine" traits are best-suited for roles traditionally held by women.
1 yIt's culturally and even individually relative. To me it means healthy personal development as it relates to those traits that are more common in men than in women. A big part of it is handling aggression in a manner that is considerate of others and oneself.

Include a caption for your image… 10 ReplyI don't think masculinity is necessarily the opposite of femininity, I think they're compatible, but not opposite. A big part of being masculine is being responsible compared to what a child would be, but that's only part of it as well. It's kind of hard to define since it's so much more than you could put in a single sentence, or even a paragraph.
00 Reply4.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Not something I think about. My wife says I am crazy sexy. I have no idea why, it's nothing I've ever thought about. Maybe it's just because when I talk to women I pay attention to them.
00 Reply369 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. A tedious word that suggests someone has preconceived notions about what a man "ought to be". Obviously I'm just going to flat out ignore them because I'm a cat and I don't have to live up to "man" standards.

Anonymous(30-35)1 yThere is no definition to such, anyone can learn or do anything. Our society considers some works less manly. I can cook, sew, clean, organize, and care about animals than most girls or guys. A lot of times, I get some random comments towards me being less manly. The so-called manly men drink, smoke, and watch sports when they're not at jobs. They lack any kind of creativity or talent to learn the best of both genders.

1 yMasculinity is accepting the best traits of manliness (concern for others, good character, physical and emotional strength, etc.) while remembering that, at ANY age, you should be somewhat boyish.
00 ReplyMasculinity is resistance of weakness. Defense of all threats to your family foreign and domestic. If you fucked up and married a feminist then yes Masculinity is against feminists because they are the enemy domestic
00 ReplySomeone who is responsible, mature, protective and supportive.
