If I get pregnant, my womb is occupied for 9 months. That's 9 months I can't let it out to a higher quality male. Then I'm stuck with a kid. A man needs to prove he's worthy of getting the use of my womb and trust me there's a lot of competition.
Forget all this "what do you bring to the table?" shit, it's not a negotiation. I bring a lot but that's a mere bonus to the main prize, my womb. In life the emphasis falls on the male to prove he's worthy not the female, deal with it.
Now I've noticed trophies are shaped like the female reproductive system. I believe that this is society reminding men what the real prize is, us.

What you bring to the table is not a negotiation you are correct. It is a question reserved for women that are trashy while still having the delusion to think they are a prize. Women that are a prize are feminine (not all that common in the US) aren't promiscuous (exceedingly rare in today's society) respect, cherish, honor and love their man (also quite rare) are traditional in what they expect and want (a dwindling number of women). It is always women that do not have these qualities and more that think they are special which is why they are asked "what do you bring to the table" as for the trophy it is shaped like a chalice. Which is also what the holy grail is supposedly shaped like. And the holy grail is a supposed coveted artifact that people have been searching for for a very very long time. It would make sense that trophies take on the shape of something coveted as the people who seek to obtain it covet the symbol it provides. So while it can be theorized it is to try and remind men women are the prize it isn't. Also in today's world women are not the prize or a prize. Traditional women are the prize and that is a small percentage of women. Which is why a growing population of men are not getting into relationships, going overseas for relationships, not marrying, only marrying with prenups etc.

I'm like genuinely curious here coz first of all no one, not men or women are a prize to be won, and as for "what you bring to the table" yes you need to bring somethin to the table to both sides do and if neither side are willing to be what they are asking of the other person they don't deserve that person, if you're asking for a man that's rich and kind and is on his knees for your every request then you also better be gettin on your knees at his every request you wanna be treated like a queen then act like one and treat him like a king, that goes both ways not just for the girls, if a guy wants to be treated like a king he needs to act like one and treat his girl like a queen, don't expect everythin for nothin, if you can't bring everything you're asking for to the table as well you shouldn't be at that table. Also if you get "stuck with a kid" from a guy you believe is "lesser quality" then that's your fuckin fault, didn't wanna be with someone that isn't up to your standards dont have a kid with em, find the one who is up to your standards and you're up to theirs before you go spreading your legs unprotected then complain how you're stuck with a kid you didn't even want from a guy you didn't even wanna be with, coz not only are you now having to look after a child you don't, be with someone you don't wanna be with but you're also making that kids life hell and they don't deserve that because you decided to do what you did. That's all I gotta say about this bullshit thanks.

Could’ve been inspired by ancient and traditional pots with handles on each side for the ease of carrying and then it was replicated for goblets.
Maybe it lost its popularity and was kept for sports and other team-like things because it could be shared and something enjoyable could fill it? Like alcohol or prizes? Like some type of loot or just for alcohol, only. Not entirely sure on the whole origins of it, though.
It would be nice, if a lot more men in relationships saw their women as something valuable/ respectable/ someone they could be appreciative of.
