What does it mean if a man presses his chin against the side of your head when hugging?

I was catching up with a friend of mine yesterday and before we parted ways, we gave each other a frontal hug. I was shocked as while hugging, he rested some of his face, mostly his chin against some of the side of my head. Do you think he is interested in me romantically?

Resting his chin on your head during a hug is a lot more intimate contact than a standard friendly hug. My guesses on what it means:

- He wanted a comfortable way to be close to you physically beyond a simple hug. Facial contact signals affection/attraction.

- It showed vulnerability on his part, putting his face near yours in that way. Takes some amount of courage when you like someone.

- Guys don't usually get that cozy during hugs with friends they aren't crushing on. Chin head touches are more of a couple/romantic thing.

Whoa, dude definitely likes you! That text pretty much confirms it. There's no way a guy just friends with a girl would tell her she looks beautiful out of the blue.
