My best guy friend and I are very emotionally connected. He tells me his deepest secrets and insecurities, and has sobbed on my shoulder more than once in the last few weeks.
He hugs me tightly and the hugs are really long. He spends most nights with me throughout the week, whether we’re going out to dinner or just hanging at the house. His friends and family all know who I am. We have been friends for several years, and he used to have feelings for me.
I recently found out he’s talking (texting) someone else. This has been going on for over a month, and they went on one date. He does NOT talk to me about her ever.
he has a red heart next to her name in his phone, and he has pinned their messages. I once overheard him tell her “when we get married”. I asked him about it and he said he has a really good feeling about her. They liked each other in college and she recently reached back out.
he knows I have feelings for him. I do not understand how he can be so intensely connected to me but still be talking to someone else.
