My boyfriend is mad at me?

So today I was just thinking about my boyfriend and if he wanted to leave me I wanted him to know I’m ok with it. So I texted him that if he ever wanted to break up with me that I’m fine with that. And he immediately called me and was pretty pissed off that I texted him that. I didn’t mean any harm I just wanted him to feel comfortable. What did I do wrong and why is he mad at me? I’m so confused and was just trying to consider his feelings

Stop saying stupid shit. You have any idea how annoying it is for a guy that loves a girl to have her say some dumb ass shit like "if you want to leave me you can" you are simultaneously insulting his love for you and insulting yourself by saying you are disposable. STOP IT!!! The only thing he wants to hear is how much you love him, how much you cherish and respect and appreciate him. He doesn't want to hear that you don't care enough about the relationship to be upset if he breaks up with you.
