You can see when I get emotionally connected to a guy when I tell him how I feel about things, about people, about myself. Honestly, me talking about how I feel is the biggest sign. Now that is just me. I am a rather private person and usually I let others do all the talking, I would listen and ask questions and such but when I start talking about me sharing experiences, sharing feelings (and not just opinions since I hare those with pretty much anyone) that's when you know taht I feel secure emotionally.

well I believe emotional connection provides friendship mainly. serious-I-adore-you way friendship. It's the basis of any relationship which you hold dear to you. Now, and again, it is just me, those type of connection are rare and you don't have it with just anyone. At least I know I don't. So yes, I believe that these "bonds" are very hard to break. Because the person knows you, the real you and when things go wrong you just want to run to them because they'll know what to say and what to do.

Of course it's healthy only when it's mutual. I guess the situations where it ends up "ading" for one person is when there was no emotional connection to begin with.. or at least just in the eyes of the other person.

i agree with eva73, I remember when I started liking my guy, and I felt so secure with him and attached, like I felt comfortable with him, I would think of our future together and how we go well together and id ask him questions to get to know him more and more, I wanted to know everything about him and wanted to be close to him

hmmn other than that one guy in my life I haven't had much experience to know, but since he was my first love, I will always love him deep down no matter what, even though he was mean to me and hurt me several times, ill still always love him, so yes I do think the connection will be there forever. when you sincerely love someone a lot and admire them you don't ever forget them and how they made you feel, that connection lives forever.

You have to be able to reciprocate the emotional connection if you want to have one. Some people are naturally closed off and with them it's harder to have an emotional connection since with others it can be instant. If you like someone who doesn't seem to want to open up to you emotionally, you have to be able to show them how to do it through your self. Gl

She looks in your eyes and asks you questions. She'll also be genuinely interested in your life and your thoughts on things. If she doesn't seem to care about your life, she's probably either shy, or doesn't feel emotionally connected to you.
