Why do guys get so close to your face and linger?

I've seen it happening and it happened to me too where men (who never showed interest in me) would sit next to me and lean into me so close that our Faces where side by side an inch apart when I tried to show them something I’ve been working on and they would just linger until I moved away. There was nothing ever happening between us and they never before or after tried to get close to me so why do men do that? Just for cheap thrills if you’re horny? To make someone else jealous or to gauge the girls interest?

of course i move away since its not appropriate at work and also these men dont seem interested in me otherwise
